About Me
I am a full time fine artist from Cape Town, South Africa who spends all her savings on traveling. In 2017 I got to volunteer for 9 months of in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem which changed my life! That was the first time I “couchsurfed” and I absolutely loved the experience and community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have had wonderful experiences with couchsurfing and hosts who willingly volunteered to give up their time and money to accomodate me - I want to pay it forward and host visitors with a South African hospitality like only locals can.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I have 1 private room to host max 3 people. I live quite further out from Cape Town in a suburb called Protea Heights, Brackenfell (Please search on Google Maps before you contact me) which is not close to town where all the tourist sites and scenes are. My home can easily serve as a touch-base for your travels. Unfortunately public transportation isn’t available where I stay - my advice would be to rent a car or have a budget to Uber.
I live with my family of 3 of whom are all very welcoming, warm and loving toward guests. We are respectful toward each other and expect our guests to have the same attitude. We also maintain a tidy and clean lifestyle and would love our guests to honor our wishes in doing the same.
WE HAVE WIFI!
I have quite a busy schedule so I can’t promise to be able to take you around or travel along, but I can give you great tips and advice on what places to look out for. But I would love to cook dinner for you and at least get to
I also prefer it when you would give me at least a 3 week notice before your arrival just because I live with other people and would like to inform them ahead of time.
(Due to a lot of hosting requests, I only answer to messages starting with the following word: “rice cakes” - kind of like a password. Just to make sure you read through all the terms and I know I don’t have to explain the whole living arrangement again... I’m a slow taper and don’t want to explain it all over again😅).
