Overview
About Me
I have been away for a while here, but i i'm back :)
In general, I am very active. Also, I think we should be most of the time happy because it's completely free :). I consider myself very very very positive (but realistic). Mostly joyful, except when I'm tired and also hungry (hangry), so do not make any comment in that situation because I might kill you hahaha :-)
I am an extremely easygoing guy who has a passionate love for sport (in particular, cycling and running (now sky too), but actually, I'm not very enthusiastic about hiking.. That's why I decided to study sport sciences years ago. Nowadays, I got the Ph.D. on that field and experimental psychology.
I do not think I'm an ordinary guy, but it does not imply that is good or bad, just different :) Everything is relative depending on the eyes of the person who is looking at. Also, I'm fond of languages, foods, and travel (the combo of them, it's the perfect plan).
I am very interested in outdoor activities. I'm addictive to the Alps, and mountains in general, to ride the bike, run, etc..
I love cooking and of course eating new "things"!! So show me your best recipe. I think i'm very good at Cheesecake, more than 30 different in my list.
I have very very very, open minded and liberal. I do not follow social rules to match with everyone else.
I’ve never (never is never, not sometime :-)) drunk alcohol or smoked :) But you could at home (not smoking)
Normally, I have to be (i want to be?) available almost 24/7 because my work (YES, research is a Job) is quite unpredictable. Fortunately, I LOVE PostDoc life :). If you let me know in advance I could manage to host you. It will be easier if we share any hobby or whether you speak a foreign language such as German, French or Italian because I'm really interested in keeping on learning (but language is not a requirement). If you speak any of them, you "must" write me the request in your mother tongue! With a funny message (in any language), would be better :-) and please, do not request to stay for a date two months in advance, i can barely know what i am going to have for dinner 😅
My timetables are quite similar every day because for me every day it's important and i work online. I wake up "early" (it is relative for everyone...) to take advantage of the day. I really love to wake up early
I usually reply all messages! At least... :) BUT If you think that we do not have anything, anything, anything in common, do not waste your time, and do not waste my time
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I might be a great opportunity to meet locals and get a hint how the real daily life is. I got tired of the classic tourism: visiting churches, cathedrals in which i never pray, buildings, etc. I am looking for unique experiences.
From me, because it allows me to share where i live, my unconventional lifestyle and joy :) Sometimes quite introvert, so it is a kind of therapy.
Interests
The Alps and then more Alps...., well, Rocky Mountains are also super cool! :-). They are open-air museum with free entrance. BTW, 300m above the sea level technically is not a Mountain...
I especially interested in sports sciences and languages. I graduated in Sport Sciences, and now, I am an Ex-Ph.D. Student. If you would like to find more about this, you know how to do it :)
I love cooking and trying new recipes or cakes. My Carrot Cake is one of the most "......."? or Mango Sticky rice, something I learned in Thailand. Cooking makes me happy. It's one of the things I miss when I'm abroad. If not possible, I am satisfied with eating :) I am a pasta lover, pizza lover, rice lover, mango lover, avocado lover, cilantro/coriander lover, fish lover, curry lover, spicy lover..... well food lover!
I have been also learning german, italian and french last years and I would like to practice as much as possible.
Definitely, I am very easy going, thus whether you propose me something that I have not done before, I will probably say: YES!
