CURRENT MISSION..Notice...I am 115 miles southof Columbus in the forest. I AM NOT IN COLUMBUS THE CITY
Had planned to move to Mexico,but instead bought a country place in The Shawnee Forest in southern Ohio. I call it the Middle of Nowhere.....but that means it is the middle of nature. i am here with myPaso Fino horse,Maine Coon Cat....a good neighbor or two and Skype. I have almost 5 acres but this really is a big,50,000 acre forest.

ABOUT ME

I retired end of Nov. 2012 so that I could move to Mexico. I want to bring my Paso Fino horse here and build a little natural adobe Casita....where I can enjoy life and hosting couch surfers from around the world who come to visit this beautiful area with a great climate.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in a higher Universal Power that impacts my life...and I try to follow its guidance as I make choices. I practice gratitude and that adds to my joy in life.

I am not fussy about anything really....will eat whatever, sleep wherever and talk about anything....and be grateful for it.!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

. In the past I traveled to many places, mainly using hostels, but I always enjoyed the personal exchange with the people I met on the road.Couchsurfing is the perfect way to travel, meeting locals and exchanging experiences. I look forward to being an active part of couchsurfing community.

Interests

I like horses and the outdoors, especially gated horses and mules....did I mention burros also. I have been studying all sorts of alternative or green building methods from adobe, to earthbags...straw/clay and more...including building arches and building without much wood if any.
I like to cook, especially with fresh, local ingredients and to have a nice chat over the dinner.i have a smalled but nice raised garden here,and a rocket mass heater sun porch.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read....especially non fiction books, and I have started to read ebooks as it is a lot easier to carry around. Documentaries of all kinds interest me.i try to find fun things on Netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking to Macchu Picchu was special, as was jumping in the phosphorescent bay in Puerto Rico....or looking up at the stars from Copper Canyon. I am blessed by all these experiences. This year I am going to explore Nebraska Sand Hills and Badlands.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe I can learn much from all people. I have had the pleasure of folks sharing their knowledge and experiences with me. I like to share mine as well. I hope to work with groups who are into eco building, sustainable living and simple pleasures. I want to be able to help others build their dreams!!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a nice 3 bedroom home in the Shawnee forest...where nature is the main activity. i would be happy to host nice folks looking for peace and nature.....or visiting from another country.....interested in very rural life. i am not in Columbus but 110 miles south in Blue Creek,Ohio. 9 miles north of Ohio River....in Adams County
