About Me
Hi, I'm Darya!
As you already know I am from Belarus.
I've graduated from Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts and now working in this field.
I believe that communication is a solution to everything. The pen is mightier than the sword!
I try to travel as much as I can while I'm young and have time for it. And now, when I have a boyfriend from Serbia, travelling is the only way for us to see each other!
I adore the smell of cinnamon. Yeah, it's important!
Best regards and wonderful travelling!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe our life is brighter if we have some good stories to know and to tell!
And best stories of our life are connected with people! I could tell that I'm making a collection of true characters I'm meeting through my life. And couchsurfing definately helps with such a collection!
One more important thing for me is that while abroad I try my best to become as closer to the real life of the country as I can. And just being in hotels and other "touristic reservations" will never work! Real citizens with their real houses and duties are much of a difference!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stage diving!
I went to a concert of a totally unknown ska-punk group, just because my friens took me there. At first I was dreadfully scared of those slamming human body mass around me. But then I decided to find a way to "keep calm and enjoy" and asked my friend to pull me up to the stage so that I could fall back and dive if there was nothing else to get pleasure. To tell that it was scarry is nothing, but incomparably with anything!
As you can guess I'm safe and sound and typing it here now :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to see and feel how locals live: their everyday life, way of thinking... If a host is able to hang out with me - that's excellent.
In my turn I'm eager to tell and show something about my country, because I love it! To teach some cool words in Belarusian and Russian; to tell things abot Belarusian traditions; to cook a traditional dish; to teach basics of lindy-hop dance ;) to sing songs together and to do some funny silly things!!!
And of course to help each other to discover new horizons!
