About Me

I am just a normal guy who is in love with being a foot traveller with a small tent and a cooking pan in my backpack. Sometimes I realize that by walking purposelessly, with any action is a life's pivotal moment, I have all my purpose fulfilled. Most of them came from random kindness and great stories I have been fortunately experiencing along the road.

I call myself a lucky captain wildchild, but you can see more about my professional work here: https://vn.linkedin.com/in/datleviet. I worked in startup and innovation, so hopefully I can learn more about anything with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to open myself to another great way of meeting new people and find a place to pitch my tent in the city. Hopefully, you and I can meet and do new things together.
See you soon somewhere on Earth.

P/S. Currently, I am walking (and hitchhiking too) from Bangkok to India. The previous part started in September 2015 along the coast line of Vietnam (from Hue to Saigon), Cambodia and Thailand.

Interests

I love it best sleeping in my tent in a storm on a mountain.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music?? Erh, post rock (Sigur Rós), Jazz, Audiophile and Trinh Cong Son for sure.

Movies varies, but "La Luna", from Pixar, is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Turn off all the light and try it here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzNio77XA8k].

For Books? I'll go for a science fiction one with a high density of knowledge but beside, I love In desert and Wilderness (Henryk Sienkiewicz), Zorba the Greek (Nikos Kazantzakis), Letters to a Young Poet (Rainer Maria Rilke) and The Last Night of the Earth Poems (Charles Bukowski).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surviving a sea storm while cayaking around Lan Ha Bay (next to Ha Long Bay in Vietnam) is still the most thrilling experience to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know for sure, let see how our souls connected.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, France, Netherlands, Qatar, Singapore, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
