CURRENT MISSION

I'm currently preparing myself to do some travelling overseas and hoping to Teach English along the way. Fun times, people and adventure are what I'm currently focussed on.

ABOUT ME

I'll get back to this more fully when I have more time - But in general I've been described as fun, outgoing, crazy, friendly, approachable, helpful, laidback etc and like to think that all that is true.
I love living life to the full, and am not afraid to think for myself, and am often seen to be doing things, or taking approaches that are outside the norm, or not mainstream.
I love being active and doing activities outdoors, but also enjoy bumming around and having a beer/watching a movie etc, pretty standard I would think.
It would be an understatement to say that I enjoy socialising, and the same would be true of my appreciation of music.
I grew up in Brisbane, have travelled overseas to Hong Kong, Macau, China, Mongolia, Thailand and Singapore, and am hoping to do some more travelling again soon.

PHILOSOPHY

I live for fun and adventure in all its forms and love making new friends with similarly minded people. I to try an find solutions to problems I encounter as I go.
I've spent a lot of time volunteering my time and services to a range of different organisations over the years that I felt deserved the time and effort, so am more than happy to try and help people if I can, especially as many people have done the same for me over the years, I feel it's important to give back as much as I can. Whilst I'm not religious, I like to try and live by the moral 'Treat others how you would like them to treat you', ie with friendliness and generosity.

Not sure what to put here yet, as I have only been able to host a couple of people so far.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Apart from staying with various hosts (not always from the CS website itself), given that I haven't been able to host many people yet, mostly friends experiences or hanging out with couch surfers that my friends have hosted.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Very eclectic music tastes (I used to work in a record store, and in radio), I like most music apart from 'Top 40'/commercial pop music.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Travelling west with, and camping for three days in a (rare) grassy valley in western Mongolia with two other (at the time) random travellers that I met in Ulaanbaatar. Waking up to yaks eating the grass outside our tent and then exploring and climbing the mountains (slightly dangerous in hindsight) around us for breathtaking views of the landscape and getting a real sense of the vast 'nothingness' that stretched off in every direction. Amazingly beautiful.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Apart from the obvious in teaching/sharing use of English (in particular Australian Slang lol), I would be more than happy to give couch surfers knowledge of, and if I have the time - tours of Brisbane and beyonds.
I have a small 13ft (3.96m) trailer sailer (sailboat) and would love to take you out for a sail in the bay or to one of the nearby islands for a day trip, or if you're more adventurous and the conditions/winds are right - an overnight trip to either Moreton or Stradbroke Island.
I also have a mate with a motorboat who participates with CS, who I often go on trips or fishing/camping with who is usually happy to go out if his schedule allows.
I have both a surfboard and bodyboard that we could take to the beach in my car.
I'm not sure what else to put here lol.
I used to work in a camping store, so love to go camping, and bushwalking, and know a few of the local tracks in South East QLD around Brisbane.
I love learning new languages from other travellers so would love to learn new words from you :)
Otherwise I love music and will happily tell you about places to see live music in Brisbane etc.
