Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I spent some time travelling around the world in 2006-2008, and spent most of the time in backpackers hostels. This is a great alternative - and it's free! By hosting people myself, I also get to stay elsewhere for free, which is ideal when I want to go away to escape for a few days.
