About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working! I tour with a play for a theater company
Je suis intermittent du spectacle, je travaille pour une compagnie de théâtre!

ABOUT ME

I'm easy going, here to enjoy without prejudice, happy to help and discover.
I'm into drama these days, touring a bit, living here and there, exploring...
Also I love walking, like for days, with my backpack !

So, just read my references to get an idea, and then, meet me!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm trying to be happy and in good spirits as much as I can.

your life is your life
don't let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.
you can't beat death but
you can beat death in life, sometimes.
and the more often you learn to do it,
the more light there will be.
your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in you.
Charles Bukowski

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Every time I travel to a new place, I check on CS who's around and what's happening there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had many couchsurfing experience, even if few compared to some 'hardcore' couchsurfers around here...but definitely not new!
Met a lot of people during my time in Argentina through CS, some of them now really good friends!
Surfing is not the only way to use couchsurfing, far from this...meeting people and talking and becoming friends is what it's all about! and learning shit, all the time, in the less expected field (like I learned to put fire to liquor in my own mouth the other day...how cool is that? ...had no idea I would do that some day you know...)

Interests

Reading books and watching movies.
Traveling and meeting people.
I can talk for hours about what I like, and sometimes share a wonderful silence.
I'm trying to be very curious, I can like anything if you talk about it with passion.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too vast to evoke within a few lines. I really love a lot of stuff !
Some of my favourite directors are Nicolas Winding Refn, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Hong Sang-Soo, Akira Kurosawa, Federico Fellini, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez...and much, much more.
I watch a lot of tv show (too many some might argue). My favourite is probably The Wire, but I'm also a huge fan of Boardwalk Empire, Homeland, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Rome, The Sopranos, Mad Men, Six Feet Under, Dexter, The Walking Dead...
Some of my favourite writers are Milan Kundera, Ernest Hemingway, Jack Kerouac, Howard Phillips Lovecraft, Jorge Luis Borges, Gustave Flaubert, Julien Gracq, and much, much more.
I love poetry too (Roberto Juarroz, Charles Baudelaire, Guillaume Apollinaire, Saint-John Perse...) and drama as well (William Shakespeare, Anton Tchekhov, Wajdi Mouawad, Edward Bond, Jean-Luc Lagarce, Henrik Ibsen, Dario Fo...)
I love graphic novels too. Some are real piece of art, such as Blast from French Manu Larcenet, Blacksad from Spanish Juan Diaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido...comic books The Walking Dead, pretty much everything Frank Miller did...
Bands I could listen to (almost) everyday : Joy Division, The Clash, The Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, Rory Gallagher, Noir Désir...any sixties/seventies rock'n roll will do actually. But I also listen to some Jazz, Reggae, Classic, Electronic music...it depends of the moment !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

40 days of walking on the Camino de Santiago (I did the frances and the primitivo) words are not enough to describe this amazing experience. Yet I will gladly talk about it with you for hours!

Downtown Roma at 6 am, almost alone in places usually overcrowded : fontana di Trevi, piazza Navona, etc

Sunrise over Marseille from Frioul island...

Midnight, 12/31/2012, watching the city of Buenos Aires fire-working its way to 2013 from the rooftop of a twenty floors building. Awesome.

Staring at the sky at night in Cabo Polonio, Uruguay. Purest I've ever seen. So many stars, like you could see all the milky way and I just lay on the beach for hours wondering...

Six months in Argentina...I guess I can consider the whole trip as 'amazing thing done/seen' haha

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely teach French, from basics to literature and writing.
I can also tip anyone who wants to travel in a place I've been, share my experience of the place, and share my contacts too.

I'll be eager to learn almost anything, especially artistic things.

Right now I'd love to learn drawing and horse riding.

Would love to start learning a new language, like Portuguese, Italian, German, Russian or Korean. Maybe all at once! Will do according to opportunities!

Countries I’ve Visited
