Overview
About Me
I'm Davide and I worked as a cyber security specialist in an IT company, but I've left my job to travel. Now I'm a backpacker willing to learn more about new cultures, meeting new friends and learn more about local cuisine.
I've traveled for 9 months in south east Asia + Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
I'm now in another long term trip to discover Latin America.
I've visited almost all central America, starting from Guatemala and going down to Panama, and I'm currently visiting south America, trying to improve on the way my spanish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I really love to meet interesting people and I think you can really understand and dive into a culture through the eyes and the experiences of the people who live in the place.
Interests
I've started cooking vegan, learning meditation and yoga during the pandemic and it was a seed that grew up and that took me to leave my job and explore this amazing and crazy world!
I really love to play chess, even if I'm still a beginner and I've recently learned how to play backgammon.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading and especially thrillers and mystery books, but recently I'm more in life changing, psychology, travel books.
Some of my favourite movies of all time are The Legend of 1900, Rear Window and V for Vendetta.
My favourite TV series ever are Doctor Who, Sherlock and Scrubs!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I suffer from vertigo, but trying to defeat this fear I've done parachute, paragliding, bungee jumping and now starting with bouldering and climbing (in the gym).
(But the fear is still there 😝)
In Bali I've done diving and it was a big step for me, because when I was a child I risked drowning and I didn't really like to be in the water where I can't touch.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always open to learning something new and I can share my knowledge about cooking, IT, meditation and traveling!
I would love to learn how to play chess better, how to play the ukulele and another language which I still have to choose! (Maybe french?)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very passionate about cooking, so we can cook together or I can prepare some nice dishes for you!
I can share with you my travel stories and my knowledge about IT, cooking, yoga and meditation.
