About Me

Hi, I'm David, I'm a half English/half French guy from Perpignan, in the South of France.
I grew up in a small village until I was 14, that's why I like outdoor activities, like swimming, climbing, running and skiing, amongst other sports.
Perpignan is also a Rugby stronghold, that's one of the reasons why I play and follow rugby closely.
I like being surrounded by nature, but it doesn't stop me from being a very sociable people who likes meeting new people! :)
I've always liked travelling, learning about new cultures and learning languages.

PHILOSOPHY

-Do the things you want to do before it's too late and you're left regretting not having achieved your dreams,
-Remain fair and honest with other people.
-Respect nature and animals, without Mother Earth, we're nothing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I think that when you travel to a country, it's nice to escape the comfort of being in a hotel room, (where everything is done for the tourist, and diverting you from the real experience of the place)
I believe it's way better to visit the place with locals, who know the city, who know the places "out of the touristic track" which are worth visiting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, as I just finished studies and am travelling most of the time, I actually spend very little time in my hometown, so I can't really host people yet. But as soon as I settle somewhere, I'd like to become a host myself :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing in Sweden, which was really exciting as I got to meet swedish people and bike around town and party with them!

Interests

I mainly love being outdoors in the nature, especially the snowy mountains and the forests, but I also like to visit cities.
I'm very keen on learning about different people and their cultures, languages etc. I love sport, I play rugby (in the second row) and love to run, bike, swim and climb.
I'm interested in Norse mythology.
