ABOUT ME

We moved to Cooperstown after living for 18 years in the NY City suburbs, when our eldest child was born. We wanted to live in a safe, quiet place and we found one. i spent 15 years as a school principal, and now work as a freelance writer when work comes or the mood strikes me. We both enjoy the outdoors, good food, snow, reading and are religious watchers of Jeopardy. My wife is a distance runner, and I'm the cook. PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We just joined on 11/2015 and have not used it yet, but hope to host folks who wish to come to Cooperstown and not pay the high rates of lodging during the summer tourist season. Surfers note: We have a very friendly 12 year old puppy (who loves people and will only want you to pet him. If you are allergic to dogs, please find other lodging. He's got long hair and we would not want you to be uncomfortable. If you simply don't like dogs at all, what the heck is wrong with you?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caught a Mako shark, parachuted, was Finish Line Director for the NYC Marathon. Married a wonderful woman and had two great kids.
