ABOUT ME

I am 29 year old who is easy going, honest, mellow and I have been trying to meet more people and network more with friends. I've been working hard to build my own cabin on my family's property and I am nearly completed. My plan, is to use this as a base to travel around the world, serving and helping others, and sharing experiences and wisdom with / from others.

PHILOSOPHY

The teachings of Messiah are the rock upon which I want to build my life. I find His life so noble, so sublime, and so worthy of emulation. I connect with and want to pattern my life after His words, when He says: "The son of man came not to be served, but to served." (Matt 20:28). I have found NOTHING on this earth that yields greater joy than serving my Creator and my fellow man.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new and my house isn't exactly the best for everybody - I am currently working at finishing the plumbing in my house so I do not have running water and have an outhouse. But besides this, it is cozy and I actually have an extra room adjacent to my house where I could set up an air mattress - this is accessible by a ladder. Rugged individuals will fare just fine and free is free. My place is probably best for those who need a place to crash while travelling on, since there is not a whole lot of towny stuff close - I live in the mountains.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couchsurfing, but think the concept is so cool in a world where people are so fearful to relate to their neighbors and meet strangers.

Interests

Spirituality and growing to become more like Jesus Christ or Yahshua. I enjoy an array of activites. I am interested in health, nutrition and wellbeing. Like fitness, exercise and staying active. I love music and thoroughly enjoy playing the pinao and singing. I love all sorts of outdoor activities, such as hiking and camping. Lately, i've been taking swing dance lessons which I enjoy and plan to learn others types of dances such as Salsa, Contra, etc. I love building and carpentry and enjoy serving and helping others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Bible, historical and non-fiction books, anything book, movie or documentary that stimulates learning and is inspiring.
Christian music both in Spanish and English (Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Alex Campos, Jesus Adrian Romero). I like old-school music like Cat Stevens, Harry Chapin, classical music and many other types of musc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Built my own cabin with virtually no experience. I simply got a carpentry book and taught myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of experience in building / carpentry; thus visitors can about building and maybe receive ideas and inspiration from the cabin I built. I've also studied the scriptures extensively for over ten years as well as researched a myriad of topics from health and wellness, to controversial / conspiratorial subjects like 9-11, government cover-ups, etc. So I have a ton of books and interesting documentaries.
