I love to travel and meet new people. In my experience, the best way to get to know a place is to connect with and hang out with locals. Couch surfing would be the perfect way to do that, and much more affordable than hotels. Hosting will let me continue to meet interesting people and build relationships even when I'm not traveling, and it's always fun to be able to show off the cool little places in my area, as well as to experience it through someone else's eyes.

I love to travel and really get to know a place, and the best way to do that is to connect with locals. Couch surfing will give me a way to find the locals that have the time and are interested in connecting with travelers, and the reverse is true when I'm at home. Hosting will get me out of the day to day rut of running my life and out into my community with a traveler while I help them experience all this area has to offer, allowing me to see it through their eyes, and maybe develop lasting friendships .

Música, películas y libros

Country music is my go to, but I enjoy all kinds, depending on the surroundings I'm in. Reggae at the beach, for sure! For movies, I LOVE a good, sinister horror film, well made and with an actual plot, lol. Action/adventure and fantasy, think "Lord of the Rings", are right up there, and while it isn't a movie, I can't get enough of "Game of Thrones"...I buy the DVD as soon as a new season comes out. When I have time to read, I like to curl up with a good fantasy or horror novel. I love Tad Williams and Anne Rice, but I also like informative books on all kinds of subjects... I love to learn.

I backpacked across Europe by myself. Not such a big deal these days, but 23 years ago, American women just didn't do that. I was 23 and scared to death when I left, but it was the best experience of my life!
