About Me
am positive, open minded, diplomatic and tolerant. I like a balanced life of living on the edge and work - spontaneity is part of the way I live! Being energetic, I like to mix and be the life and soul around the people I meet!
I do get a fairly large number of requests from surfers on a daily basis, so I please ask that you do write a well thought-out request rather than just sending out a generic copy and paste message, even though I appreciate this is less of a convenience! A host is effectively offering a stranger free accommodation and welcoming you to their home so it makes a better impression if you make a request because you genuinely also want to spend time with the host. Most experienced hosts who receive a number of requests daily are good at spotting messages which have been copied and pasted with those which have been written genuinely after taking the time to read through someone's profile.
I would also like to remind people about Couchsurfing etiquette: I get a number of ungrateful requests and messages, and plenty of people who I accepted who have cancelled right at the last minute, meaning that I have had to say no to some excellent other couchsurfers who have requested to stay the same night/s. Therefore I would ask you be considerate in this respect. A great majority of these have tended to come from people with no couchsurfing experience beforehand in fact, and I'm less than willing than I was before to host anyone who has just joined this community. If you are new to Couchsurfing then please take the time to write a complete profile and send a nice message; I've received some great ones in the past so make a good impression! Update Feb 2021: Also note that due to receiving so many copy/paste requests I have now added a keyword which you should quote when writing me a request: "gracepepper"
