I was born in the southern part of Russia, at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains. I went to school in the Urals and the Far North, practically at the Arctic Circle, and finished college while living in Moscow. Since childhood, I moved around Russia a lot with my family. When I grew up, I started traveling independently. In 2015, I left home and traveled for 2 years hitchhiking, visiting 19 countries.

In 2022, my girlfriend Julia and I moved to Kyrgyzstan, but most of the time we spend our time traveling. We also host travelers in Bishkek when we are here. I work remotely as a product UI/UX designer, which allows me to spend a lot of time on the road. I am interested in documentary and art photography, drawing abstract graffiti and learning languages. We love long-term trips, and prefer to travel overland, relying on hitchhiking and staying with locals for accommodation. It helps us to connect more deeply with the places we visit.

Thanks to Couchsurfing, I met a lot of interesting people from different countries. With many of them, we became friends and have kept in touch until now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 2 months being a complete homeless in Hong Kong.
Rolled over in UAZ bukhanka traveling through abandoned Gulag labor camps.
Rode a freight train through Sahara desert in Mauritania.
Sat through three Vipassana retreats.
