About Me

My name is Deniz Sarikaya. I am born '91 in Hamburg (Germany) where I am currently studying Philosophy and Mathematics at the University of Hamburg. One day I hope to become a teacher or stay in the academic world or (when the right idea strikes me) become an entrepreneur. So far I have studied in Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Barcelona (Spain), I was a visiting intern in Vancouver (Canada) and I am currently staying at the UC Berkeley (US) as a visiting student researcher together with my lovely fiancée.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask me.

Best wishes,
Deniz

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope that I am always a open minded and respectful person. That is why I registered at Coachsurfing and hope to be a eligible guest. I like the idea very much to stay at a real home rather then a anonymous hotel room. I think Coachsurfing is a great chance to meet open minded people form all over the world, find new friends and to learn from a local about the place (and its culture) you are visiting.

Sadly my housing situation does not allows me to serve as a host. But I am looking forward when I am back in Hamburg Germany (in January 2016) to start beeing a host (and of course every of my future hosts is kindly invited to be my guest as well : ))

Interests

My hobbies includes reading (see more below), films (see more below), chatting (I am very interested in a lot of philosophical questions and debates starting from the theoretical roots and ending in the discussion of daily news) and of course travelling. I recently started also to experiment a little with photography.

I hope this encourages them (esp. those without a strong family supporting their education) to study the subject they love or even to get the confidence to chase their dreams.
