About Me

I love and enjoy meeting new people! I love to serve and have taught my children that's where life's greatest satisfaction and happiness comes from.

I have been married to Marilyn since 1990 and we have six children (two daughters, four sons) and three grandchildren, two boys and 1 girl (due in April 2022).

I enjoy backpacking (mostly been in the high Uintah's in Utah), hiking, cooking, most sports, all animals, avid reader, watching a good movie; playing disc golf, basketball, tennis, pickleball, spikeball, am a master swimmer (swim four miles a week); playing catch with the frisbee, football, and baseball.

In high school I ran Cross-Country (placed in the top 10 in State and competed in Nationals), Wrestled (8 years and was the top 3 in State), Ran track (mile, two mile and steeplechase and placed well in state.)

I spent every summer as a wrangler and camp director on our dude ranch near Steamboat Springs, CO, USA. I took care of 20+ horses, did general maintenance, took people on trail rides, cooked and helped keep our rental cabins clean. We also ran a youth camp where hundreds of youth participated in various ranch activities and personal development sessions.

When I was 19 I served a two-year full-time church service mission to Pennsylvania where I paid my own way and worked 70 hours every week in service and sharing the gospel.

I served 10 years in the Utah Army National Guard (worked with the State headquarters.) Worked with the 19th Special Forces and 144th Evacuation Hospital units. I ran on the General's running team and attended Officer Candidate School.

I worked for School Improvement Network, now Frontline, for 8 years.
I worked for Waterford for several years and some of my clients were Ann Arbor Schools in Michigan, Columbus City Schools in Ohio, Nashville City Schools in Tennessee.
I enjoyed working with Dowdle Studios as Corporate National Sales Director over the artists project - America 250, working with the top companies and organizations in the U.S. on sponsorships, original art and a documentary for the celebration of America in 2026.
I currently work with school and community libraries in Western Colorado and Wyoming and all of Utah.
