Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, but during my travels so far I have not had the chance to spend time with locals as much as I would have liked to. Also I love to meet new people and this is a great way to do that!

Interests

As I have already said, I love travelling - when I am on the move I am at my happiest. Food is one of my passions, whether that involves cooking or eating out - I always look up the local specialties when I go to a new city or country. I find history and politics in general to be fascinating and am always interested to learn more about these aspects of a new place. Hiking and being surrounded by nature is also something I really enjoy, and recently I have taken up running as a new way to ‘enjoy’ my surroundings. My free time is mostly spent catching up with friends (often over a drink), exercising, and of course Netflix!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all sorts of music but some of my favourite genres would be indie/acoustic, show tunes, classical and UK rap/grime - so pretty varied! I also love music from the 60s/70s, with the All Out 70s playlist on Spotify being one my go to playlists 😊

I don’t read anywhere near as much as I would like to but I generally enjoy books with a well-created alternate universe like the Harry Potter or A Song of Ice and Fire series. I also like reading the Attack on Titan manga each month when it comes out.

As for movies I enjoy watching them with friends but I am more a TV series person - Netflix is my go-to after a hard day at work!
