About Me
Hi! My name is Diako.
Current mission: world domination
I am a physical therapist, lived in the Netherlands and Switzerland and currently travelling the world!
I noticed part of what makes travelling authentic, is meeting the locals and have everyday conversations with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, I had this seminar about travelling. And the guy giving it( the writer of 1000 days of summer, maybe you know him) inspired me. He helped me open my eyes a bit more but fortunately not too much because if they are opened even more it would look like I'm on drugs hahaha.
And this led to me thinking that this world is great, filled with good people with each their own unique stories willing to share their home for a couple of nights. And to share stories with these people, to me that's priceless.
Interests
I like meeting up with friends or family and spend time with them. Especially during summer time because then it is barbeque time!
I also like sports. Furthermore I like chilling out in the park when the weather is up for it. I also like to play acoustic guitar and currently I am making a documentary about Physical Therapy in the world.
Speaking of which, you will have your own physical therapist at your disposal haha.
The rest you will find out when we meet :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music. From rock music to Ed Sheeran like kinda music to techno. I am somewhat an addict when it comes to watching series. I watch(ed) alot of series. My favorite movie is The Green Mile.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmm, tough one. I have skydived and paraglided of a mountain... Running towards a cliff knowing you are about to jump off was thrilling. Same with the skydive, watching all of the others disappear one by one, knowing that is going to be you in a minute haha.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I am open to learn anything. So if you want to share something you're most welcome. What I can help with are physical problems because of my background as a physical therapist.
This is a quote I found very applicable to my current travels: "Most strangers are just friends you don't know yet"
What I Can Share with Hosts
A meal, a laugh and fun stories + advice regarding physical problems, because of my physiotherapy background.
