About Me

Hi, I am Diana and I come from Italy.

After studying at the University of Innsbruck for 5 years (holding the BA and the MA degree), I decided to move to Vienna for starting the PhD in Ancient History. Vienna is a big and beautiful city with a lot of things to do and to visit, it can satisfy the expectations of everyone!
I consider myself a culture vulture, since I love cultures from all the different parts of the world: during my travel experiences I shared interesting moments of culture exchange with people from all over the world and the desire of travelling improved more and more every year. I also love visual arts and visiting museums, so Vienna suits me a lot, because this city has a lot of different museums to visit!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music genre are jazz, classical music and rock music, especially that of the 70s and the 80s!
My love for classical music started when I began learning piano at the age of 7. I played piano for 10 years and I began appreciating and loving the works of Chopin, Liszt and Scriabin.

I love reading books! I especially enjoy reading Orhan Pamuk, Amélie Nothomb, David Sedaris, Haruki Murakami, Christopher Ransmayr and Elif Shafak, but I like also classics, such as "Jane Eyre" of Charlotte Bronte and "War and Peace" of Leo Tolstoj, and essays on art history, music and ancient history.
I also developed a big interest for Tolkien and the celtic culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited the Shapur Cave in the Chogan Valley, in Shiraz (Iran)

Teach, Learn, Share

After 6 weeks of internship at Castle Tyrol (in Meran, South Tyrol) I learned doing guides at the castle with both Italian and German-native speaking tourists.
