I'm Puerto Rican, now a new Australian, a mother, and a dog lover. I have lived here in Australia since 1997. I am fortunate that my work takes me all over the world so I am well traveled and appreciate how new friends enrich our lives. My interests include cooking, wine tasting, watching soccer (not much of a player), culture and the arts, salsa dancing, any sport related to the ocean, music (I used to be a hip hop DJ spinning vinyl a long time ago) and engaging with others. I'm a type A extrovert, but polite, respectful and approachable.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I want to be able to share my many journeys with others and share my home with fellow travellers. Hosting guests would enrich the days when I am home. I believe in karma, and paying it forward. This platform will allow me to do that.
Music, Movies, and Books
Author - F. Scott Fitzgerald and Paul Coelho for fiction, but I read far more business books these days related to entrepreneurship, self/professional development, digital, mobile and social media Music - I like everything except heavy metal and Chinese folk. Both get a bit grinding after a while (I'm a formal classical violist and an ex-hip hop dj - so everything in between!) Movies - After the Wedding is one of my favourites. I like Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet, Gatsby, American Pastime, Multiplicity. I confess an addiction to House of Lies, House of Cards series, & Boardwalk Empire
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I donated my eggs to help a non-family member have a child. I've done lots of amazing things, been places, saved the whales, but giving the gift of life to someone was a huge milestone.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach someone how to cook, use social media more effectively, market an idea or tie their shoes, ice-skate, rollerblade, etc. I won't teach anyone to drive. I can teach you how to sing, dance Salsa, braid a French braid and bake the world's best carrot cake. (I have a secret recipe). I would love to learn After Effects, and how to sail a boat, and how to ride a bike downhill without crashing into something. I would to share a meal, outing or experience.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I would love to share my ability to cook by cooking you dinner. I would love to share some of the great wines from Australia and I can explain where they come from and how to taste them correctly. I would love to share stories of travel - I have been all over the world except Africa and the North Pole. I would love to share music. I have an amazing collection digitally that I travel with, and if we can't find something that suits, I will sing for you. I would like to think that my visit would somehow enhance your life in some way. Perhaps I can make you laugh or share an outside perspective on a complex challenge.
My Interests
Cooking, food, wine, culture, art, all things digital, disruptive technology, film making, and travel. I do a lot of public speaking on the topic of digital transformation and have built a global consultancy around that passion.
