About Me

Hi everyone.

I am happy, I like to dream and do some crazy stuff from time to time. Like one time during summer I fixed my sled behind the motorbike and rode, as it would be the snowy winter day. Before getting married, I was travelling
a lot, sometime by hitchhiking. On e time I traveled from door to door all the way from Crime, Ukraine to Switzerland.I still have a dream of hitchhiking around the world however, this dream now transferred to sail around on the yacht.

I like to live in international communities, exchange culture experience, meet new people and simply cook together and learn from each other. People say that I am very friendly, kind and open minded, that I can inspire and unite people around myself. I have studied Finance, but I had quit this field after two years working in the bank. Afterwards, I was involved in volunteer movements on local and international levels and worked for youth development of my city. If you have ever been to Crimea and visited the Language Exchange Club Simferopol, it is a child that actually was born as a result of my efforts there. Later I've worked for the OSCE, Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and currently together with my wife manage language school in Kiev.

Coming from Crimea I still have a lot of friends there, so if you would like to travel to Crimea you are welcome to drop me a line and I will suggest you where to stay or what to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First time I heard about COUCHSURFING in Belgium in 2009. I wanted to travel to Paris but I have never done it. Instead of that, I have traveled to Germany and then to Ukraine using Mitfahrgelegenheit. I started hosting surfers at my tiny apartment in Simferopol and really enjoyed doing it. At that time I shared an apartment with two mates, one was German another Algerian. We hosted a lot of people not only from CS but also friends, friends of friends, etc. That was really cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While living with a local family in Kenya, I realized the importance of basic needs, such as clean water, enough food and explore/feel happiness at the present moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe sharing is the greatest thing that each of us can do. I want to start social enterprise, learn how to play piano, and learn other languages Chinese, French, Spanish or Arabic.
