ABOUT ME

I am 30 years old and live in Aalst, Belgium. A small town close to Brussels, Ghent and Brugge. I used to be a freelance journalist for a Belgian magazine, but now I'm back to teaching high school kids. I love to ride motorcycles, I love nature...
Walking, bicycling, running, ... I'm always up for some sport. I'm tattooed, but don't let that fool you :) I'm kind hearted and besides English I also teach religion ;)
I love nature and traveling alone. That 's why I am on couchsurfing because it is nice to meet new people when you are traveling alone.

PHILOSOPHY

I always said: 'I should do this, I should go there'. Well, I grew fed up with 'I should'! Now I just do things. Without worries about what tomorrow will bring.

I hate to use bible quotes, but this shit is too powerfull...

I don't know if Aalst is a place that people want to visit, but everyone is welcome. I'm sure we'll have a great time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love couchsurfing. Not because it is cheap, but because I love to travel alone and this way I get to meet new people. I find most people of the couchsurfing community to be social, friendly and keen on showing me their home town. I've had some awesome experiences in the past, I'm sure I'll have a lot more in the future.

Interests

Motorcycles, beautiful sights, remote surroundings, people with life experience and magnificent stories to inspire me. I 'm fascinated with Mongolia for some apparent reason. I plan on visiting the country in 2016 with my motorcycle.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love series. Breaking Bad, Modern family, Dexter... I love watching movies and enjoy writing. I also enjoy playing old records and discovering new music. Foo Fighters, Frank Sinatra, Eels, The Killers, Queen, Tom Waits, The Strokes, Fleetfoxes, Feist, Leonard Cohen... I have a wide, open spectrum when it comes to music. Favorite movies at this time? 'Mr Nobody' and 'Old Boy'. But I'm also a sucker for 80's movies like 'The terminator' or 'Robocop'.
