About Me

Kind of a difficult task: to identify oneself in a mere couple of sentences, isn't it?
How should one extract the necessary information out of a lifetime? What events are relavant, what's expandable?
I don't know.

But I can simply tell you the following:

When I was five I went to the seaside with my parents for the first time. One day on the beach I lost sight of them. I remember a blurry (tears?) view at the sea and an obscure feeling of desolation. I remember holding my yellow sand-shovel shaped like a fish.
That's my first memory.

When I was twelve I've been to a farmhouse with a large rangeland. We would chase two young bulls, trying to grab them by the chains hanging down from their necks. They pulled strongly enough to sweep my twelve-year-old self from my feet.
It was summer and warm.

I remember my first time at the funeral of a family member. My grandmother's sister had died. I saw her in a chapel laying in an open coffin. Her face was pale. I woudn't dare to come closer and take a better look. One of the funeral guests passed out. Someone screamed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not here to see the world. It exists only in our heads anyway. I'm not here to travel - that's what travel agencies are for.
I want to experience the whole variety of worlds available only through the minds of others.
I will be honoured if you share your world with me.
