ABOUT ME

Married, grown children. Busy life, only a little time, but very interested in international conflict resolution and travel. Nancy has 20 years of experience as a mediator and teaches mediation as well. Donn worked in the Human Genome Project in past. Now helping people "green" up their homes.

Meaning, joy and fulfillment are available at all times, if I open to this Present moment fully.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not a lot, but my son, Dan is very active. I led 2 San Francisco group mushroom forays, a great success, with over a dozen CS-ers and lots of good and interesting mushrooms each time. Might be willing to do it periodically, if there is enough interest. I enjoy the enthusiastic interest so far demonstrated by CS'ers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We did a home exchange with a French couple in 2007. Not the same, but similar? My son (Drifter Mistwood)loves CS, has often traveled the world with it. We met 2 wonderful CS-ers on a trip to Croatia in 2008, who showed us around Split and dined with us in Dubrovnik. Very positive experience, thank you CS.

Interessen

Botany, bird-watching, gardening, spirituality, meditation, mediation, green building, conserving resources and nature, cross cultural exchange, interpersonal communication, especially for couples. Nancy is a divorce mediator.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Camped on the rim of Grand Canyon, alone for 2 days, no one else near. Nearly died in a snowstorm on Mt. Whitney, hiking by myself. Oops that's two.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Both Nancy & I are trained in interpersonal communications skills. We are trainer-level skilled at "Powerful Non-defensive Communication" (see pndc.com), and in Hendrix Couples Intentional Dialog. Donn is a Unity teacher, Nancy a mediator and mediation trainer.
