Overview
About Me
Hello there! I’m Dora and I was born and grew up in Berlin. I just came home from a long trip to New Zealand, Thailand and Laos, so i’m staying with my family for a while to get a grasp of normality again.
I consider myself a responsible, considerate person. I prefer to be quiet over conversations that just fill the silence. I love hearing about other people’s lives, their stories and experiences. Honesty and friendliness are important to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined couchsurfing because of a book I read about it. I continue to use it because I’ve stayed with people that added so much more depth to the places I’ve visited and sometimes transformed them completely in my eyes.
I’m hoping to do the same for fellow travellers when I have space sometime.
Interests
Long, meaningful conversations that last long into the night (or shared silences). I love cooking. Hiking and being in nature, camping. Learning stuff. (Crazy) dancing. Listening to live music. I love to talk about art and literature. Differences in lifestyles in different countries. Travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I think nearly all genres of music have something good about them. If it’s danceable, that’s a bonus.
One of my favourite books is Elena Ferrantes “My Brilliand Friend”, but I try to read lots of different stuff. Open to recommendations. I prefer actual storyline over writing aesthetics.
Good movies need a plot. Otherwise I don’t really care about genres or whatnot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took an impromptu road trip in the south of New Zealand, in the Catlins. At some point I realised that our car, from a birds perspective, would seem to literally be driving on the edge of the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Pay it forward.
