I work in the tourism industry in Gulfport/St. Petersburg FL. During my off-seasons (every spring and fall) I take a 6-8 week cross-country camping trip. I just completed a trek from Aspen to Pennsylvania, Deleware, Maryland, Georgia, Florida and Indiana. I'm a tour director by trade, leading groups through the amazing Cuba!. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have couch surfed once and it was a great experience. I'm open to hosting when I'm in town. HOW I USE COUCHSURFING I would like to use couchsurfing.org when driving cross-country, which I do several times per year.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Country, classic rock, 80s, really any kind. Movies - I have a love of old B&W movies, and love to see those I haven't already seen, or introduce others to some of the greatest ones ever made.I don't see a ton of new movies, but recently saw the Guardians of the Galaxy and loved it. Books - I love biographies and autobiographies, books about history and books that are funny, like the ridiculously stupid ones by Chelsea Handler.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I flew in a glider, which is an airplane with no engine. It was an amazing experience.

I'm a pretty laid back, easy going person. I can give a lot of travel tips on places I've been in this country and around the world. Through my work I've met quite a few famous people and have some funny stories to share about many of them.
