Overview
About Me
IMPORTANT NOTICE: I'm living in Japan again :) I only have one room in my apartment now and I am super busy (working from 12:20 to 21:30).
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world is to host the world...
ABOUT ME
Hi there!
My name is Dragana. I'm an English teacher, who loves her job although it can sometimes be very stressful.
I am an eternal optimist, open-minded, friendly and helpful I hope.
I like traveling, meeting new people, learning languages and learning about other people's culture.
I would love to know something about everything rather than everything about something.
I like music, food, outdoors, indoors, reading, singing (but only in the shower), walking.
I love chocolate. I would love to try some of the food from all countries in the world.
I don't like people who are impolite, who swear too much, those who pretend to be something they are not (don't say you're funny if you're serious, don't say you're open-minded if you're conservative...) and girls who put on too much make-up.
PHILOSOPHY
Things happen for a reason...
Laugh so your muscles hurt...
Live every day as if it were your last...
Life is not meant to be lived in one place...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's so much fun! And you get to meet so many different people. My heart grows a bit every time I meet someone new.. And a piece of me dies when I need to leave people I met through couch surfing.
Interests
I'm definitely interested in traveling and meeting new people and cultures. Love trying food from all over the world!
I like exchanging postcards, collecting bits and pieces from everyday life, learning languages, playing board games...
I like to take photos of just about anything.
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really watch movies when I am alone, but if I have company, then I love it.
I watch all kinds of sitcoms: The Big Bang Theory, Two Broke Girls,Modern Family...
I also looove Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Switched at Birth, Grey's Anatomy, How to Get Away With Murder, Scandal...
I usually listen to what's in the charts at the moment, although I like listening to local music when I travel.
When it comes to books, I am not picky, I read whatever I can find in my sister's bookcase... One book that I really loved though was "The Green Mile".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I applied for a scholarship, got it and moved to Japan in 2014.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you English and Croatian if you want to.
I love to cook for the people who come to stay at my place.
