About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Help people enjoy life more! By having awesome experiences with people, by designing things that make people's lives better, and by being all around positive whenever I can.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 20 year old University Student taking Engineering at the University of Waterloo. I've been doing a bunch of internships around Canada and California. I spend most of my time and money on Rock Climbing and camping, and building cool stuff when I'm not climbing.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. Don't be a hypocrite.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been surfing a couple times, and been to a few CS events, and it was awesome! I want to start getting more involved in the community, but my living situation doesn't really let me host right now. I definitely want to do more surfing though, and once I'm less mobile I'll start hosting :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fantastic! Hosts have been great, meetups have been great, and I've met lots fo awesome people.

Interests

Rock climbing, building things, mountain biking, skiing. Anything in the outdoors, and especially outdoors on top of tall things. When I'm at home I'm usually programming something, or on reddit.

Music, Movies, and Books

In no particular order: Bridge to Terabithia, 1984, Amimal Farm, Law Abiding Citizen, Watchmen, The Dark Knight, Pan's Labyrinth, Tanglefoot, Ashley MacIssac.

I love any movie or book that ends in an unusual way, maybe with the bad guys winning, maybe with no one winning. As long as not everything turns out all right in the end.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A whale, the size of an RV, launching itself out of the ocean, flipping half over, and landing with a huge splash, less than 100meters from me.

A stream of lava, spewing out the side of a rock face (related: sitting down, then peering into the cracks in the rock I was sitting on and seeing that less than 2 meters deep, the rock was still red hot.

The decades old Alice G, a shipwreck near Tobermory with a large part of its engine still intact (although very rusty.
