Couchsurfing is an amazing way of meeting the place you are visiting in a complete different way. YOu get to learn about the secret, hidden places and get to hang out with like-minded people. some of them might become good friends of yours, some wont. It is definitely NOT a thing for just finding shelter for free!!!

meeting Wang-Od in Kalinga! ming ming in pai, hitchhiking through the mountains, climbing the mountain Zwegabin in Myanmar, getting drunk in the longhouse, seeing the sacrifice of a pig and watching the headman getting tattooed on Borneo!
