Overview
About Me
I grew up surfing the waves of Newcastle and exploring the pristine wilderness of the Australian east coast. My childhood in the bush influenced me to the point of wanting to be the voice of reason for the plants and animals that don't have one.. so I have spent my grown up years sampling water, monitoring fish populations and planting trees as an environmental scientist. In my free time, I can be found surfing, playing the didgeridoo or guitar, as well as, indulging in a good movie or beer on a Sunday afternoon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Bob Dylan once said "Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet" so though I'm late to the party, I think that the CouchSurfing concept is very exciting for the world community. I plan on dusting off my passport this year and heading out on a long overdue adventure and I know that my experiences will be made richer if I engage in the culture and the people of the world and where I intend to travel.
Music, Movies, and Books
I can get down with any 60's folk rock and chilled vibes. I have an extensive collection of books, current favorites include Umberto Eco, Robert Ludlum and Dan Brown.
