About Me

I'm Dylan, I'm 20, and I live in Kyiv, Ukraine. I own my own business which means I get to spend time however I like, and I love to travel. I grew up in Swansea, Wales, and have also lived in Cambridgeshire, England. I like to explore the world around me and try new things, and I absolutely love food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's good to have a backup for my travels to make sure I never get stuck anywhere overnight, but at the same time, I'd love to be able to meet new people across the world on here, and spend time getting to know the culture of the places I'm in, alongside learning about the lives of the people I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Way too much to be able to list it all. As long as I can get into the beat and don't find the lyrics and instrumentals annoying, I like pretty much anything.

Movies: Not so much of a movie person, I have a few favorites, but it depends on the selection.

Books: By far - The Social Animal, by David Brooks. It's one of the most insightful and interesting books I've ever read, giving a strong explanation of why our brains make the choices that they do in our lives, and how society and the people around you influence that. It's been my number one choice since my mum gave it to me a few years ago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the age of 15 I ran a number of gigs for my friends (who played in a variety of bands) across my hometown and the surrounding area. It gave me some great experience in being able to organize events and get people together (along with teaching me some important lessons about making sure you have a plan for everything, especially when you're responsible for a large number of people), and I have some great memories of those events, and the parties after them!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always happy and easy going, I love to have conversations about the world around me and share views with people on a number of topics. I can guarantee that an evening spent with me would be fun, comfortable, and I can cook you some great food from a large number of different cuisines. Let me know what you like to eat!
