About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel, learn, explore, write, and push away from the comfort zone
ABOUT ME
I'm currently navigating this crazy mixed up world we live in with nothing but one bag of luggage and a desire to travel until I feel like stopping. I am embarking to Colombia in order to teach English and in my spare time write about this fascinating country. I worked random odd-jobs in Boston to get myself here and decided to take the alternative route and see this world for myself instead of flipping through pictures on a Google search.
PHILOSOPHY
Music has been a huge piece of me since day 1. I dabble with piano extensively and will always hunt to try to find one. I will eat close to about anything and willing to try something super local. So far the food here in Colombia has been amazing and I can't wait to see what is in store for Medellin. My personal philosophy is not to take thing seriously and roll with it. Honestly, with minimal planning I found myself on a new continent and with a totally different career path. I try to keep freedom at the center, but without going off the deep end. I am excited and nervous to be teaching in this great country and leave the story blank only looking for like minded people to fill the pages with me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have not participated in anything to be honest. I just found this out through a friend and decided to make a profile for my travels. I hope I can meet some great people along the way and will definitely take place in some meets in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Absolutely ZERO. But I am usually down for an adventure. As I said, I made this as an extra way to stay places and to meet some interesting people. When I establish myself, I look to have an apartment to accommodate people in the future.
Interests
I've had numerous excursions with friends and we created and or stayed in couchsurfing type environments. My experiences go with camping, crashing on questionable furniture in college dorm rooms or lounges, outside with just a sleeping bag, and more. I'm very easy going in this regard even though I can't narrow down an exact point, but I'll sleep almost anywhere within reason.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1.Two summers ago, I received my paycheck for the week and impulsively blew almost all of it on a scalped ticket to see Paul McCartney in Fenway Park. I ate PB&J for a couple weeks. Worth it.
2. Last March, I was miserable because it was snowing and cold. I sold my moped in order to go on a service trip to Nicaragua. Unbelievable trip I will never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share
I hope to gain a larger perspective of this blue ball we all live on. I have enjoyed learning Spanish and continue to use this to make connections with others on my journey. I also want to continue exploring language as a key to connect with people and learn as much as I can about the grand country of Colombia through the language/food/ and its people.
