I am a young Peruvian musician who studied in Montreal and in Barcelona. I play classical trumpet, and I think music helps me to express myself better to the world. Not only I enjoy playing music, but also I enjoy teaching it. I think I found that my mission in life is to help other young musicians to achieve his goals with music. For me teaching is a more meaningful and fulfilling activity, and by helping others, I get happy. Another passion I have is being behind the camera; I jus started doing some photography as I just bought one. My eye is often looking for a good picture of what I see in my everyday life.

I am on Couchsurfing because I would like to know more people in every place i can visit. I think this is a great idea for connecting people all over the world, so why not taking advantage of this?

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

My taste of music is very wide. I am very open to new kinds of music, always interested in what other people listen to. However, if I must choose, I would say rock, folk, and indie are my favorite kinds of music.

Books: Mario Vargas Llosa suddenly became my favorite writer, and favorite book would be “Las Travesuras de La Niña mala” by him. I enjoy reading mostly novels.

Movies: I like many genres: thrillers, comedy, action, drama. There was this one movie I recently watched because a friend had recommended me to watch it, so I did, and I was amazed after it. “Shakespeare in Love”, I think, was really well made, I felt that the arte behind this movie lifted me and left me in the air. Also, i like Woody Allen’s movies. A midnight in Paris gotta be my favorite from him.

I can teach you Spanish if you are willing to learn. I can teach you music. I can teach you how to make a couple of Peruvian dishes.
I am willing to learn everything from everybody. It is really exciting to know that there is always something else to learn everyday. Also, if you are a photographer, or just have experience with a camera, I would love to learn from you.
I can always share with you my music, a meal, a good conversation, and of course, always a smile.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

With hosts I can share some food. I could make some good Peruvian dishes for you. I am not really a great cook, but i think i know my basis of the Peruvian cuisine, which is by the way one of the greatest in the world.

If the host is interested in practicing some Spanish, i am more the happy to help, and of course i can probably play a private concert!
