Overview
About Me
I'm a 24 year old currently living in Istanbul for a year as an Erasmus Student. I'm Enjoying the food, history, culture and the social life of this great metropolis. Throughout this last year I've traveled to many places in Turkey, and I'm also trying to learn the language. I have a wide range of interests and I like meeting new people and hearing new stories. In the past I studied to become a musician. I am a decent saxophonist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking forward to meeting new people and getting an insight into how people in other parts of the world live. I'm hoping that Couchsurfing can bring me a bit closer to what a place is like from the perspective of the locals and a bit further away from the ordinary tourist track.
Interests
Before studying what I'm currently doing at the moment, Landscape architecture, I did a year of Philosophy at the University of Oslo. As my father is a professor of Philosophy, though, I didn't feel I was capable of filling his shoes. However, I very much still enjoy discussing such topics as the validity of peoples believes, ethics, irrationality and the philosophy of science ect.
I am a big football fan, though my favorite teams might be slightly obscure to you they are Stabæk, my local team in Norway, currently at the bottom of the Norwegian Premier League, and Notts County, also hanging about in the bottom, in League 2, the 4. division of the English Football League system.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of films and a lot of books. I am not so into action and hollywood. Give me the more obscure. That which I haven't seen before. Books - Favourite book this year was perhaps the last book by Jonathan Franzen.
