About Me

I'm a Navy veteran and college student at the University of Texas San Antonio. I live on campus in the dorms so I can't really host at the moment unless under extreme circumstances.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing to meet great people that I can learn from and share knowledge and experiences with.

Interests

I love reading comic books! I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes. I'm always listening to my favorite music. I'm beginning to learn Java programming and so far it's a love-hate relationship...

Music, Movies, and Books

Kings of Leon, Florence and the Machine, and Hozier are all great and I have fallen in love with The Airborne Toxic Event.

I like to read mysteries and thrillers. Dean Koontz is probably my favorite author. I started reading Crush by Richard Siken recently and it was the first time I ever enjoyed reading poetry (even as it destroyed my heart...highly recommend). I love comics and superhero related media.

Action/Adventure, Thriller, and Zombie Dystopia movies are my jam but I'll watch just about anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watch the sun set over the North Shore in Hawaii while camping on the beach with a great group of people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been told I know a little about a lot. I love to learn new things but I get bored easily. I've been introduced to the idea of experiential learning while at university and it really is a great way to live life. Learning by doing beats learning by watching any day, in my opinion. A professor once told me to set "courageous goals" instead of "smart goals" and it really stuck with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts a kind and respectful attitude and I hope I can expect the same.
