About Me

I finished an engineering degree at the university of Newcastle, but i was so stressed out by the end of it that I decided to take a year off to go traveling. I had such a great time that it ended up stretching out to 3 years and I wish that I had been using couch surfing more while I was traveling.
Now I'm learning Portuguese and I'd like to return to Brazil, so if you speak Portuguese please come and stay with me!
I'll try almost anything once and I'm always happy to learn something new. I love to get out and about, see the sights and meet new people. 😀

PHILOSOPHY

Live like you mean it, make the most of your opportunities and learn a little from the people you meet and pass the best of it on to others.

"Life is your story, write whatever you want"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like showing people around my home town when I have time. I find that cities are much more interesting when you know someone who has some knowledge of the local attractions which is why I think that Couch surfing is such a great Idea.
Newcastle is a little bit of a strange city, there are a lot of really great things about it, a great coffee culture, fantastic beaches and an up and coming arts scene, however it is not particularly tourist orientated and things can be a little difficult to find and to get to. Come to my city and i'll try to show you the best of it!

Interests

Hiking, the outdoors and camping.
Sports (Rugby, Soccer, Cricket or whatever's on)
Good Beers, especially if they're locally brewed
I've just got a DSLR camera so if you are a photography enthusiast as well hit me up.
I've also started learning Portuguese and would like to live in Brazil in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

What can I say here, there are so many to choose from. Pretty much anything Sci-Fi, a few different fantasy series including the wheel of time and Game of Thrones. I think that the TV shows I like the most are Vikings, Suits, Orphan Black, House of Cards, Firefly and Stargate back in the day. Well that's already a long enough list but I also enjoy some anime on occasions too and some light heated comedy can be fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in so many amazing places that singling one out is not easy. I had an amazing time working on a sailing boat in the Whitsunday Islands. I was there during a cyclone but luckily we were safely inside the hostel playing drinking games.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to learn about new places. I would like to learn more languages and learn more of the culture of other countries.
I'm also really happy to share travel tips for the places I have been (most of Australia, western Canada and some of Brazil)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, Fiji, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
