About Me

Fresh air and good conversation are two of my favorite things. I'm an adventure-seeker-turned-workaholic, and I love my jobs. I work part time in the honey bee health field, and full time in conservation. My jobs often take me to remote locations, so I've become accustomed to camping and couchsurfing. I much prefer casual accommodations nowadays.

I'm also a dairy farmer by marriage. My husband milks a medium sized herd of Holsteins. We enjoy hosting friends for overnight stays at our "Milk and Honey Farm".

I'm a quiet person with minimal needs. I'm a good house guest, sleeping easily after a hard day's work, getting up moderately early to put on make-up, do my hair, and get on my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes, I'll put in a late day of work, and will need to start early. I can't always get my employer to cover my accommodations, so I like to find modest means to lay my head down.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Converted a diesel truck to run on vegetable oil and taken it across the country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Information about wildlife habitat, erosion control, and honey bees. Honey, food, beer or healthy beverages. Home canned salsa. Fancy amish soap made by my amish friend... the list of quaint country niceties goes on and on.
