About Me

Hello everyone! I'm Eleonora and usually travel together with my friend Lydia. We've been friends for as long as I remember and we both always shared a big love for travelling. We traveled throughout east Asia, to get to know the world from the inside, meet the people, taste the foods, learn about the culture and learn some words in every language! I'm a really open-minded person, and always positive thinking. People sometimes ask me how I do it, as I'm seriously in a good mood 99% of the time :D I'm also very emotional and sensitive, and I always try to put myself in other people's shoes to understand things better and see them from a different point of view.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet lots of new people, and get to know them, make friends! I think it's the best way to really get to know a country and to understand their culture on a bigger extend. I'm sorry that I won't host anyone, but i am studying right now and cant host people in my apartment.

Interests

I always loved to draw and paint, although I never attended an arts class. I always carry a little notebook and a pen with me, you'll never know when you get inspired. I also love music and used to play the piano myself. I don't really know how to explain my taste in music, as I really like a lot of things. The Beatles, Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Guns N Roses or Tom Petty to more modern artists like Coldplay and Ed Sheeran, I listen to all of them, and I sure would love to hear the typical music of every country, too! Another thing I completely love is food. Living in Italy, where food is a great part of our culture, I grew up with delicious dishes, and was thaught about the importance of food in our daily lives and especially when having guests. You'll never get into an Italian home without getting something to eat! Italian food is great, but I'm sure there are plenty of mouth-watering dishes all around the world. I'm aspiring to be a vet in the future, so animals and science are things I love to talk about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of movies, but have a weakness for those movies that show the complexity of human nature, movies that make you cry and laugh, that make you feel all kinds of emotions.

Same with music, I love a little bit of everything, Mongolian rock, indie folk, kpop!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled overland from Italy to Singapore, that was definitely an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can surely cook you some Italian food and teach you how to do it! I'm more than ready to learn how to cook traditional dishes of every country. If you can teach me some words in your language that would be great! I'm italian, but attended a German school, so if you need any help in those languages I'm happy to lend a hand. We can talk about science, music, art, the meaning of life, travel experiences, everything! I would say I'm a pretty good listener, so if you have anything you want to talk about, that's fine for me. I am also trying to get better at photography, so I can take pictures of you if you don't mind☺️
