Über mich
CURRENT MISSION
Three years ago I did a bike trip from Lincoln to Seattle. Two year ago I did a trip from Seattle down the coast to LA. Last year I biked from Lincoln to Pittsburgh by way of a round about tour of the great lakes. Now I'm biking from Pittsburgh to Bar Harbor, then down the coast to Key West. ABOUT ME
I've spent the last couple years working at bike shops. I still don't really feel I know much about bikes, but my appreciation at least for them has grown considerably. I write often in my spare time and I have a couple books that will likely never see the light of day. I enjoy studying mythologies, ancient and new. I like to be active, and I feel like I only learn anything by doing it. I bike everywhere, and have never bothered to get a driver's license. I'm a vegetarian, because of all variety of reasons you can ask about if you feel inclined. I'm somewhat introverted and socially awkward, but I do my best to overcome it. I'm always excited to meet new people and learn and experience new things.
PHILOSOPHY
Life seems long as it occurs, but terribly short looking back on it. It only feels as long as the depth of the memories that you've made. So you had best make all the meaningful memories you can.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Because it's allowed me to make meaningful connections in ways I never would have imagined before I joined. I've met amazing people, made lasting friendships, and had great experiences I never would have had otherwise. I like bike touring because it sets me at just the right speed to truly see and experience the places I'm traveling through. And I like Couchsurfing because you get to know a place best not staying in some cookie-cutter hotel room, but crashing with the locals.
Interessen
I love writing, reading, tv, movies, virtually any media indulgence. And I also like staying active, riding my bike, running, that kind of thing.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I spent five weeks biking to Seattle from the Midwest, and then started up my new life from the small box of stuff I brought with me. ...It's really not that amazing, considering I've met lots of people who have done the same thing, but on a much bigger scale. But I've decided this is something I want to keep doing, and hopefully one of these days it will lead me to do something genuinely amazing
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I have stories, real and fictional, personal and belonging to others, incompetent and clever, simple and grand.
