Overview
About Me
I love connecting with new people, making music, cooking, dancing, and anything outdoors. Growing up across the US, my passion for travel began as a child often taking trips to visit family in Norway and Denmark. I am always curious. I love discussing big challenges, learning why people think the way they do, pushing my boundaries, and building things. Through college I expanded my passions for engineering, music, and travel. Since, I have worked as a product design engineer; written, recorded, and performed my own music; and spent time in Asia, Oceania, and Europe. For my most recent job I took multiple trips to China and have since become fascinated by Asia -- I am very excited to spend some time there this summer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS offers a super cool opportunity to meet and connect with people who have totally different backgrounds in a unique way. When I travel, I love to meet people who live where I'm visiting and learn about their perspective. I don't travel to check of a list of sites and cities, I travel to connect with new people, challenge my perspective, and learn what makes other people tick.

When I was 10 years old, I accidentally cut my leg with a chainsaw. But maybe that's more of "One Amazing Thing a Chainsaw Has Done"...

I'm currently trying to learn Chinese and am always game to help people learn English. I love teaching people dance, learning new songs, and sharing music.
