Overview
About Me
I'm Elisa, “the one who talks also with walls”: this is the way people describe me since I was a kid. Luckily, I haven't lost neither this attitude nor the bad accent typical from my valley! :)
I'm really outgoing, grown up trying always to find the positive side and to adapt in every situation. I'm absolutely curious, tireless and.. noisy (mmm, maybe I have a too loud voice)! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on CS because, while traveling or not, I'm a "social animal": I love sharing experiences with strangers and making new friends. CS would make my trips more exciting. Surfers can show you what you can't find on guides: the real life of a city and its secret places!
Interests
ALL IS NEW, IT'S INTERESTING: if you let me, I will bombard you with questions! I'm fascinated by people's stories! Let's talk! :D
FOOD: I love being "out of target weight" (as my mum always underlines) thanks to pizza, pasta and Nutella! I try almost everything.. also because I'm not exactly a "masterchef" so I prefer waiting for others to cook but I'm learning some dishes from may flatmates! Oh, and I love sweets: well, I think I could eat milk with cookies also for dinner! ;)
WRITING AND READING: I write everything since I learned to: on post-its, on the Moleskine always in my bag and on the app "Evernote" to share my notes on all my devices (I love it!). I make lists about ideas, projects, challenges.
That's why I study Literature at the third year at the University of Pavia!
I can stay hours in my bed reading "just another chapter" (generally till the morning comes). I was also part of the student journal Inchiostro (http://inchiostro.unipv.it)!
HAVING FUN AND TALKING: I have to bring everybody home to be satisfied.. Also because it's at my friends' door that I find the best stories and laughing! For me also a cup of tea it's the beginning of a great night: when there is the right attraction, the conversation flows for hours and that's magic!
PHOTOGRAPHY: I'm just an amatorial photographer trying to learn any time something new. Warm colors. Landscapes. Friends portraits.
POLITICS: both in international and local. I'm part of a student union Coordinamento per il Diritto allo Studio - UDU which organises cultural events (http://www.coordinamento.org/sapo/) but I also take part personally in demonstrations I believe in.
SOCCER and FANTASY FOOTBALL: I'm a fan of Inter FC but I'd love to see matches from all categories!
LISTENING TO MUSIC and GOING TO CONCERTS.
Music it's like a soundtrack of my life: melancholic when I'm on the train, strong and powerful when I'm going to an exam to charge myself, relaxing but with beats when I'm writing (I feel that the rhythm makes my words flow) and, above all, music to sing and dance in the shower, when I cook in the kitchen or clean the house and when I drive my car!
Going to a concert it's like find unexpected feelings and share them with strangers, it's yelling out what you've inside.
Oh, I really can't make a list of what I love!

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to each type of ROCK: from Neil Young to Pink Floyd, from Bruce Springsteen to Black Sabbath, from Led Zeppelin to Lou Reed, from Pearl Jam to Guns n Roses ... But I'm not snob about listening to new music.
Cinema IGNORANT.
I love reading and I'm trying to make a "to do list" for the 2016 with must-read books. Suggestions are well accepted ;)
Among my preferred books there are:
- The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien (the first ebook I've read! An epiphany!)
- Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling
- Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen
- Wuthering Heights, Emily Brontë
- Fever Pitch, Nick Hornby
- The House of the Spirits, Isabel Allende
- Le ultime lettere di Jacopo Ortis, Foscolo
- Il Barone Rampante, Calvino
- Q, Luther Blissett
- Point Lenana, Wu Ming 1
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Driving without a destination and get lost in an Irish ring. Searching for a bed to stay at night and find a countrywoman who hosted my friends and me in the farm. At night, we saw such a stars that I think we saw the Milky Way.
Uh, once I watched an entire movie from the beginning to the end!
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to become a teacher in the future but I think I will always have to learn: I love "absorb" everything from books, other cultures and everybody's experience.
Obviously I can share a dish of Pasta! ;)
