Overview
About Me
I am a Classics major at the University of Guelph in Canada, loving what I'm learning and wanting to see what else is out there too. I like to see different lifestyles from the academic, to the self-sustainable, to the nomadic, and I love to travel both for nature and for culture and take in the kaleidoscope of life :) Go barefoot, look at beautiful things, climb trees, be happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel for my degree and for my own adventures and having started volunteering recently through workaway.info, I'm learning to love the people I meet just as much as the places I see :) A one night stay in a city becomes more special if you meet someone there- there are so many wonderful and generous people out there, I can't wait to meet you and return the favor!
Interests
Art is very dear to me both to create and to study. I am always inspired by nature and much of my spare time is spent outdoors-a relaxing day reading under a tree, exploring a river with friends, backcountry hiking and camping- I love it all. Music is also an important part of my life and I play piano as a hobby as well as french horn in a small orchestra, and I love I listen to live classical music. Petting cats is great and I like to bake, especially cinnamon buns! I'm starting to experiment more with cooking too, and I want to learn about gardening and wild edibles.

Music, Movies, and Books
I spend a lot of time with old literature-I love the Iliad and the Odyssey and soon I'll be studying them in Ancient Greek :) I also really enjoy short stories and fiction that has a memorable way of describing people's lives.
I'm not a huge movie buff but I watch a lot of documentaries!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Performed a duet with my sister in the Pantheon :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Self sustaitonable living and gardening is a long term goal of mine so if anyone has tips for a beginner I'd love to hear!
I like to get reccomendations for music too because I like almost anything I hear but don't know a lot myself.
I live to learn so tell me anything that you are passionate about!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love a good discussion about art and culture, and can recommend tips and trips for camping and backpacking. Of course I would always say yes to a little art session as well, especially drawing and watercolour. But I never underestimate he power of a good friendly talk about life and sharing ideas about how to live it best.
