About Me
Hello, my name is Liza and I currently live in Sweden, but will be moving to Seoul, South Korea in March.
I'm going to study Korean there for 6 months, and then plan to start studying medicine in Ireland. I'm passionate about figure skating and music, and listen to weird indie bands like The Front Bottoms and Half Moon Run. I've also been playing the piano since I was 8, and never plan to stop either. I graduated from high school in 2017, and decided to take a gap year so I can do my language course. I've been working ever since I came back from a trip this summer, so I'm finally starting to travel again which I'm really excited about!
Once I finish university, I hope to live in as many different places as I can and learn as many languages as I can. I love immersing myself in new cultures and being a part of them through the language and people. I'd say my friends would describe me as a friendly person that never stops smiling (it's not creepy; I promise xD).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whoever invented Couchsurfing is a genious, and I am thankful for the people who are hosting and making this possible for others. I'm on couchsurfing because I like meeting new people and, of course, for budget reasons.
Interests
I've always been the type of person that likes being "kind of" good at many things, rather than being very good and one thing. That's why I kind of made it my life mission to learn as many languages as possible and learn to play as many instruments as possible. But, as I mentioned, I wouldn't say I'm exceptionally good at any of the things I learn. I like to write and would maybe like to publish a book one day, if I ever get enough time to write it. I also started figure skating recently, and ever since I started, I skate every day and have never been so dedicated to something in my life.
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to everything I like, but the list of genres goes on forever. I used to be a huge bookworm but I don't have as much time anymore, unfortunately :(
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Written a musical for the school graduation ceremony :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I am fluent in English, Swedish, Hebrew and Russian and have basic knowledge in Korean and I am willing to teach any of these languages. I have also worked as a music teacher for a while and I enjoy it a lot.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my knowledge in the languages I know, and anything from music to my life story (if anyone is interested in hearing it).
