Overview
About Me
After two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia, I'm settling back into the USA. I love Philadelphia! And a whole lot of other things, too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd love to travel deep and wide, but if I had to choose one I'd go deep: i.e., settle into one place and get to know it -- and especially its people -- well. So I'd prefer to meet local folks and see their area from their perspective, instead of getting tourist-agency approved tips from a hotel concierge. As a recently-returned Peace Corps volunteer, I'm also interested in saving some of my dwindling supply of money!
Interests
- yoga

Music, Movies, and Books
Treat Her Right, Ella Fitzgerald, Old 97's, Zach Pietrini and so many more; My Beautiful Launderette, Wonder Woman, The Crying Game and so many more; Kaye Gibbons, Infinite Jest, Adrienne Rich, this list could go for about ever.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia, although it really doesn't feel amazing. Lots of people seem to think it is, though.
Teach, Learn, Share
A nascent interest in Quakerism? A couple of playlists?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Wasn't that the last question? Anyway, a nascent interest in Quakerism (it arose from the mystic religious tradition(s)!), a couple of playlists, some extremely basic bellydance techniques. I can and happily will bake bread from scratch without a machine or recipe.
