Hey there
I'm Ellen from a small town in northern China and study in Nanjing, I graduated this year and as I want to learn more about the world so I started my trip in Europe, personally, I don't like the traveling that checks every place of interests but live a life as local. I did not visit many foreign countries, but every country I went, I try to live there for a longer time and try to live like a local, when I was in Munich, I found I like that city one and half week after I arrived, on a common evening and watched some people dancing on the top of a hill in the park with very gorgeous music. I want to really know a place and communicate with people live there so that I can really build a connection with that city.
After my trip.i will start to live alone in Jinan, I live in the dorm of the university with some roommates before, so I can start to accept some guests from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet the people with different cultural background and have communication with them.
and there are some fascinating places in the city only the local people know, I want to explore this places
I met really lovely hosts and friends during my trip and i really appreciate it,and hopefully i can make other travellers have the same feeling when they just arrived in a new city.

Interests

I am a huge fan of football, I started watching football since the South Africa World Cup when I suddenly found the fascination of football with the goal of Sneijder(Netherland), so I become a fan of Netherland, and the jersey of the local football club of my hometown is also orange,so you will find me crazy about the orange(both the color and the fruit).
Hitting the gym 5 times a week when I have the regular life, but it's not easy for me to gain the muscle cuz I don't eat much protein.
Just transferred from skiing to snowboard last winter so I'm not very good at playing snowboard now but I will try to improve it.
I like reading the map when I have nothing to do and try to remember the capital cities of different countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC:My music taste is kind mixed, I like the rock music in the 70s and 80s and alsoI love the hip-hop a lot.
MOVIE:Karwai Wong(i watched most of his movies,also Tony Leung Chiu Wai is my favourite actor)Not a fan of superpower, but love Barbie and Disney princess movies(i knew every Disney princess), I'd like to go to the cinema to watch the film based on the daily life
BOOK:I read many novels based on Afganistan society, and also as I said before, I have an old taste, I like the books written in the 20th century (both Chinese books and foreign books I prefer the works during this time).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Making the decision to do the volunteer program in Ukraine in 2015, I experienced a different culture and saw the tough time of Ukraine, most important, that is my first step to become independent.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can cook together, I can cook some Chinese dishes and also some German dishes(to be honest, I don't know what is typical German food beside sausage and bread, but l learnt how to cook that at Germany)
Also, we can climb together or lie on the grass to have a sunbath and of course teaching Chinese and Japanese hiragana if you want to learn it.
