About Me

Hi I'm Ellis! I left the uk in December 2015 with a one way ticket to the world! Currently traveling through Asia and will be moving to New Zealand later this year.
I'm a big foodie and love to try the local dishes in the countries that I visit.
Enjoy yoga, meditation, gin & tonic and karaoke all in equal measures!
I'd like to think of myself as friendly, easy going and adaptable so don't usually struggle to get on with people.
I love the buzz of big cities but I think I'm a country girl at heart. I love going hiking and I'm currently using my travels to learn more about sustainable farming/ self sufficiency.
As I have left the UK I don't have anywhere to host right now but when I have a place in New Zealand I will be happy to return the favour and host other travellers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet locals! In my experience the best part of travelling is the people you meet. Being able to spend some time with locals in their home and learn more about them and what they think about where they live. I think couch surfing is a great concept and we can built a community of people that want to help each other out, learn from each other and share a laugh. What a wonderful thing!

Interests

I'm also a bit of a museum nerd! I love them! I like to learn a little history of the places I visit so I always find museums helpful. I love all the things mentioned above but I guess my main interest is in talking with people. I love nothing more than a cup of coffee and a chat, be it a deep talk or just a giggle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Packed a backpack and caught a one way flight. It really is the best thing I have ever done!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am by no means a chef but I love cooking for people and being in the kitchen so I am more than happy to cook for my host! And even happier to learn new recepies or tips from them.
I'm trained in Thai massage and always keen to practice.
I'm also pretty rubbish and only speak one language (I am currently learning Spanish) nd can't play any instruments! (Disgraceful I know!) so anyone that is willing to help me out with either would be brilliant :)
