Resumen
Sobre mí
Hi!
My name is Élodie, I’m 25. I live in France and work as an English teacher in middle school.
I love travelling, discovering new places, and meeting new people. As an English teacher, I’ve always been very interested in foreign languages, customs and cultures. As a child, I couldn’t travel as my family didn’t have the means to. Growing up, I've always seen travel as a way of opening up to the world, opening up to others and opening up one's mind. That’s why I try to travel as much as I can today. It's all these things, among others, that made me want to become an English teacher. Indeed, I believed learning English was my opportunity to travel, to discover the word, and to be able to communicate with foreign people, that is to say, to create a special connexion with someone that is a total stranger to you at first. I’ve lived in London for a year and met so many people that are still friends of mine. I found this particularly amazing.
I am a calm, serious, responsible, and trustworthy person. I love going out to have a drink or whatever you’re up to.
I enjoy baking, exercising, and reading. I also love pottery. Nothing really new, but that’s who I am!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I’d love to meet some locals and spend an evening together. Maybe you could show us the city's hidden spots, introduce me to its culinary specialties (I love to eat, maybe a bit too much actually!), and show me what authenticity really means. It's very important for me not just to see the tourist side of the city, but to meet the locals so they can show me what’s real.
I am calm, trustworthy, and friendly.
Música, películas y libros
I love all kinds of music.
I watched so many series! I would love to talk about it with you if you’re a binge-watcher like me.
My favourites are The Handmaid’s Tale, the OA, The Leftovers, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, Sense 8, Sherlock…
I’m currently reading « The Handmaid’s Tale » as I loved the show and I’ve been waiting next season for far too long, so I’m trying to compensate with the book.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I’ve lived many extraordinary adventures. I consider all my travels extraordinary.
Moving alone to London for a year was probably my biggest adventure. It was really hard because I was living there during the pandemic and I suffered a lot from lockdowns. However, this experience allowed me to make time for myself, to focus more on what’s really important, and to enjoy the very little things life has to offer.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I’m an English teacher so I’m always looking for people who’d like to speak English. I need to practice a lot because my accent is far from perfect and my vocabulary could definitely be more diversified.
If you speak French, even a little bit, I would be very happy to speak French with you!
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Otherwise, I would love to share anything you’d like as every conservation is important to me. Indeed, I consider that each exchange has a huge value as we probably live in two very different countries, we probably have to very different ways of living, and in my opinion it’s absolutely amazing to be able to share all of this with someone who lives hundreds or thousands kilometers from where I live.
