I'm a writer,so I'm collecting people and stories.Keeping one person safe at a time,since I cannot travel, I have the travel come to me.

ABOUT ME

I'm 53, married. Divorced 2 times, four adult children, one grandson. Lived in Maine all my life, my husband came here from Charlottesville,VA. I'm a born again Christian,do not drink or smoke.Do not use profanity,I'm an ordained Minister( do not operate a church) and attend Full Gospel Tabernacle just down the road from me.I've been a professional writer for 30 years,newspapers and magazine,business and PR. Working on some books at the moment.I've always wanted to have a Bed and Breakfast or an INN, maybe someday. For now this is as close as I can get.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm here because God allows me to be here, to serve HIM, and to lead others on their path. I believe a stranger is often someone you just haven't had time to know yet,and the more friends you have the richer your life and theirs is for is. We are part of a great tapestry, and the people that come through your life add the color to it, just life weaving a tapestry. I choose to hope to be a blessing and a bright light to all that cross my path.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not new to couch surfing! Have had many people stay with me over the years since I was about 24.Abused women, young people. people burned out from their home, one woman came through with a cloak and back pack and staff, her name was Barbara. It was cold and raining, the kids and I stopped to ask if she was okay, and she had no place to stay. We took her home and she spent the weekend telling us she was a profit,on her way up North. She went to church with us Sunday, and Monday morning I took her to another church that had arranged to get her to the church int he town she was going to so she would travel safe. Hosted for Up With people when they came to town as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Elvis, Southern Gospel, blues, jazz,some country,some oldies. Love family movies,scifi,some kinds of adventure and horror( like vampires, but not Nightmare on Elms Street..or SAW and gorry butcher movies, or any with nudity, profanity.
Books vary,my Bible first. Terry Brooks, The Twighlight series,romances, scifi,how to books. I have a vast taste in books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I died on t he delivery table in 1986, giving birth to my almost 25 year old daughter. I felt at turmoil that I knew I was leaving my then husband and son behind and wouldn't see my new daughter. I could see them working on me, and heard them say we're loosing her, saw the nurse climb up on the table to help push. I was enveloped in with like clouds, and it was so warm, and I thought they will be alright. A soft voice said, it's not your time, you must go back. You have more to do,you're not done yet, you must go back. The white and warmth began to fade, and I was back in body screamed as my daughter was delivered. She was beautiful. I was very very ill, and it took a lot for me to regain strength. I already knew God was real, that just proved it more so to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a Minister, but my church are people that come through my life.Everyone has something special that GOD gave just to them that makes them special, and like a diamond you have to dig to find it,with pressure( years and life) it becomes a diamond,all our experiences make us that diamond in GODS eyes, I think we have the ability to be the polishing cloth to help that diamond shine.
