Hello everyone! Всем привет! Hallo Freunde der Sonne! Hola a todxs! I'm Elvira Schlegel, a first-time couchsurfer living in a small city in Germany with my family.

A little about me: I am 19 years old, finished high school in Germany, and directly afterwards did volunteering for 14 months in Costa rica, working with kids. I was born in Russia, so I speak three languages fluently (well, kinda four; my Spanish is improving every day)
Note: it improved a LOT and I'd love to keep practicing it so let's chat en español ;)

I have countless hobbies! Lately I've been into reading, kicking butt (jk) in chess, dancing salsa and bachata 💃, playing on my ukulele and enjoying a good movie or two :)

Since birth, I have been vegetarian, and over the years, I simply stopped eating dairy products (I don't like them haha). Plus my Mom only cooks vegan, so it all fits perfectly.

I would describe myself as an open-minded and kind-hearted person (as long as I get enough sleep and food). Currently on the quest to be my best self by writing in my journal and building up good habits.

While traveling with my brother in México in December 2023, he introduced me to Couchsurfing. I immediately loved the concept and decided to download the app. I will never forget the Couchsurfing experiences in México (shoutout to Aalan and Eri for being my first hosts 🤗🩷).

As I dive into this new chapter of exploration, I'm thrilled to connect with like- minded, kindred spirits, share stories, and engage in fun activities.
